That was the beginning of Oryx Desert Salt, the brand now stocked in Whole Foods, World Market, and Amazon, and gracing kitchen tables in more than 23 countries. Back then, there was no investor deck, no warehouse, no team, just a single mother, a toddler on her hip, and 34 tonnes of the purest Kalahari desert salt she’d sold her house to buy.
