A way to get your beans in the festive mood!
1. Blanch green beans in boiling water until bright green and cooked but still a little crunchy. Strain and set aside.
2. In a pan on a low heat, gently toast 1 heaped tsp sesame seeds. Stay watchful; they can burn quickly.
3. As they turn light brown, add to the sesames:
• 2 chunks of butter (or olive oil)
• 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
• the zest and juice of 1 clementine
• salt (or chilli salt) & black pepper
4. Allow to melt and simmer gently for a minute or two before adding the beans and tossing them to coat.
5. Cook for roughly 2 minutes, until the beans are to your liking.
6. Plate the beans, spoon the sesame mixture over, and finish with another grind of salt & pepper.
